In 2023 Sir Steve helped Ted's Health to launch a cross media campaign to raise awareness of the impact of low testosterone on men’s health, with a particular emphasis on the link between testosterone deficiency and an increased risk of type 2 diabetes.

With the campaign running across television, print, radio and digital platforms, Steve was able to share his own experiences to maximise the audience and get the message across that, with Ted's Health, it was now easy to get testosterone levels checked at home, with expert doctors available for support and follow up.

Steve said “It’s vital for men to be aware of the risk factors for low testosterone, particularly with regard to diabetes.

As a diabetic myself, I want to help others have the best chance of preventing, reversing or controlling type 2 diabetes. By understanding and taking control of testosterone levels, it could help to achieve exactly that.”
